new disturbed album, ill let you know how it goes later.

and if you have a Nintendo DS (which you should) Get a little game called Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light.

Its actually concidered final Fantasy Guiden (or something like that) because its not an actual "final fantasy" game its a spin-off with several final fantasy aspects. also, it kicks ass.

Pringles... easily the best thing ever.

so i watching some tv here earlier tonight and heard a quote that went something along the lines of this: people in this present day have no "wonder" moments anymore.

this of course refers to a fact that, as a society, we've been desensitized, through whatever means you want to pick, be it any sort of common media. We've seen so much that there's very few things that absolutely floor us and leave us in awe.

so i started thinking about the few things that do give us these moments.
there's the pretty common list,
seeing your bride when she walks down the isle (i assume, never done it)
having a baby (again, i assume)
the first time a kid walks into Disney land (if you've never done it, trust me)

im sure everyone else has different lists and personal moments, but the last one i could come up with is this:

Seeing one of your favorite bands in concert.

now, im not saying i have a whole lot of experience in this field, but i have had a few chances to see some pretty sweet bands, well in my opinion anyway.

a short list would be as follows:
Metallica
Slayer
Brooks & Dunn
Cancer Bats (about 3 times i believe)
Alexisonfire
Brad Paisley
Dirks Bentley
Buck 65

now say what you want about this list, seems pretty random i know.

My point is, and anyone that has also experienced this will agree, you cannot beat the feeling of sitting in a dark room (theater, big ass arena, whatever) and the lights suddenly flash on and the first few notes of one of your favorite songs drowns out everything in your mind.

i can honestly say that ive been awe struck by exactly what is explained in the above paragraph.
it has nothing to do with seeing a big music star right in front of you (which is pretty cool) but it all goes back to the music, if its something you love, seeing it preformed in front of your eyes, not hearing it on a computer or an Ipod, or even seeing the video or whatever, you just cant beat it.

the other part of this in is, for me anyway, is it happens every time i see one of my favorite bands, without fail

and i love it.

GOD RUSH IS AWESOME!

so 'nother post before sleep i gotta paint in the mornin.

this is going to be about video games im currently playing (or games i attempt to play)
theres a lot of them because im not one of those people who play one games until its finished (very few exceptions to this rule see: god of war, beat it in two sittings, havn't touched it since)

so ill start with the ones that are taking up most of my time.

1. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (Xbox 360)
This game is old like, 2006 old so im not going to spend any time on how awesome the game is. But it still kicks ass, This was one of the first games i bought when i got a 360, and i played it a little bit, but then gave it up (and traded it in) in favor of newer games (COD, ect) so when i bought it again it sat around for quite a while, i started a decent character but then gave it up again. So after i beat Metal Gear Sold 4, i was looking for another game that i could really dive into, so i picked up Oblivion again, and did i ever dive into it. Ive been playing it literally for weeks and haven't even scratched the surface of the main quest. Ive been kickin ass on a lot of side quests, i dont know how long it'll take to finally beat it but im looking forward to it, it'll be a real accomplishment due to the crazy scope of this game.

2. Mafia II (PC)
Due to the fact that I got a wicked laptop for christmas last year i started up on PC games again, which is a challenge if your like me and dont see the big deal about games like World of Warcraft. I picked this little gem up and was immediately impressed by the visuals (due to wicked PC) but im sure it looks good on PS3 or Xbox as well. Mafia II is essentially a clone of Grand theft Auto set in gangster style 1945-1950s including era cars (not actual licensed cars but clones) and weapons (tommy gun, ect). The atmosphere of the era is easily the best part, within the first hour of play time i was running around snowy streets in a white suit, matching trench coat and one of those cool hats they wore, setting out to do a "hit" on some poor lad. Its a game im really looking forward to getting more into, and i hope it doesn't go the way Grand Theft Auto games go for me, which is just sitting around because i get bored of them easily.

3. Starcraft II (PC)
The Second installment of Blizzards huge real time strategy game  was about 10 years in the making, and im confident enough to say it was worth the wait. After blowing through the single player campaign pretty quickly i got down to what makes Starcraft awesome, the muli-player. while rather simple (four people on a map, try to kill everything that's not you or a ally) the gameplay is nuts, there is a need for real skill and strategy in order to win, so im pretty terrible at it (i find a pretty hefty learning curve) i still love it, its the thrill of taking over someones base, or fending off an attack you never think will end. It'll keep me coming back im sure.

4. Call Of Duty: Modern warfare 2 (Xbox 360)
This game is easily one of the most recognized games going, so this will be short. I love this game, simply for the online play. I mean yeah there are some idiots and dicks just there to bitch people out, but its still a fun play, match after match things change. MW2 is easily one of the best shooters out there (because i hate Halo, im sorry i just dont get why that game stays popular, i never liked it) so looking for hours upon hours of game to play? MW2, hit it up

the first real post

ok so first real post... go!

this is something that Ive had several talks about (see:arguments) with my girlfriend, who i love more then anything, but damn music sucks these days.

The best example i can give of this is a song called I like to Fuck by Tila Tequila (or something like that)

this actually is a hit song, and just like the title, the song is about nothing else then how this chick is a huge slut bag. seriously theres a line that goes "I like to fuck/suck cock until i hurl"

like what the hell! seriously? this is a legitimate song that people listen to?
I just dont get it, i mean im far from a prude or whatever but is that what the music industry is coming to?

the other part of this (the biggest part of the arguments between me and the girlfriend) is the lack of respect for the classics.
lets take a look at one of my favorite singers, Meatloaf.

listen to just about any meatloaf song, some of them are pretty goofy, but the man pours every ounce of life he has into every song, and (as far as i know) there are very few who know who he is as a singer, and those who do know cant stand it. but give a chick some recording time, and let her sing about how she likes to fuck and its a chart topper? there's no conceivable reason that this should be.

so onto the next issue that ive noticed, at least a little bit anyway.
how a singer is seen in the media and lets say society as a whole has no effect on how good his music is.

my example A for this is Elton John.
yes people he's gay and flamboyantly gay at that, now that thats out of the way lets take a look at his actual music.

Its beautiful. he lets his entire soul shine through his songs.
Now if you like his type of piano music or not, i cannot see any possible way shape or form that you cant see this and respect his ability as a recording artist.
It just bugs when when you hear people be all like "Elton John? ahh he sucks"

if you don't like the music then fine, but there's no need to ignore the mans raw talent, and his ability to  preform.

unless its that tila tequila chick, man i hate that song.

State of the... uh union?

so due to the fact that my girlfriend works overnights and i really... really get bored sometimes i decided to start a blog. In the unlikely event this gets more then lets say one reader, let it be known that i don't have perfect grammar and i cant spell all that great either. so any bitching will be read, and most likely laughed at, because well jokes on you, you read the post, sucker.

so this blog will be filled actual content and not crappy stuff like what i had for supper (pizza pockets) or as much "content" as i can muster. i do have a pretty good rant for the first post and ill put it up pretty quick.

so i guess i just wanted to say hello.

hello
